“It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work
and when we no longer know which way to go,
we have begun our real journey”.
It is so hard taking those first steps to find the counsellor/therapist that is right for you – just by reading this, you are on that journey – good for you!
I believe that change happens within a relationship founded upon empathy – a safe, non-judgemental space where you really feel heard and valued for who you are and who you hope to be.
I am qualified as a therapeutic counsellor/therapist holding a Diploma in Transactional Analysis. I also have a Masters Degree (LLM). My main working style is from a ‘Relational’ perspective which means that I believe our therapeutic relationship is the core of our work together – work that helps us understand ourselves at a deeper level and enables us to become the best of ourselves. It is important to me that our relationship is based on an I’m OK – You’re OK basis – equal partners in our co-creative work together.
I am a member of UKATA, UKCP and BACP and abide by their ethical codes. I am insured, DBS checked and registered for the purposes of GDPR.
I offer a free initial telephone/zoom conversation where we both have the opportunity to get a sense of each other. We can talk about what brings you to therapy, you’re situation and what changes you maybe hope for. This initial conversation is important to see if we have the feeling/intuition that our relationship can grow and develop
